SIGMA-6 is the sixth iteration of ASX’s revolutionary aircraft. Developed from aprototype in 2017, SIGMA-6 has been honed to create an optimal lean design withfew moving mechanical parts for maximum reliability. Its flexible, scalable designallows the flight module to be employed in virtually any lift-and-deliver scenario.
SIGMA-6 has been engineered to assemble in just one hour, thanks to a design thatutilizes cost-effective automotive components, together with proven, applicablehigh-run-rate manufacturing processes. It offers unparalleled safety throughoutthanks to failure tolerant architectures. Low noise - critical for defense and urbanoperations – is achieved via an electric powertrain and rotary system. The noiselevel is equivalent to the noise signature of a pickup truck.
SIGMA-6 can be mission-transformed in just under 2 minutes. This is at the heart ofits versatility and flexibility. Competitor aircraft need to land and recharge. Not theSIGMA-6. We simply swap out a used battery container, for a fresh one, and itsready to go on a new mission. The modular pod with integral batteries (PatentPending) is unique to ASX, minimizing downtime, maximizing efficiencies.
SIGMA-6 container and delivery systems are constructed around the concept ofpods. The pods, which can hold one ton of cargo or passengers, can be configuredfor very specific missions. They are rapidly removed and installed, and are facilitatedby an ASX-engineered ground shuttle that interfaces with SIGMA-6, transportingthe pods to the aircraft. The pods utilize a unique quick release-and-attach systemthat secures the pod to the plane in seconds
